4 Very Different Views of the Same Scribbles

For my assignment I drew overlapping shapes on a paper and then copied that image four times. I then asked everyone who was in my apartment to draw whatever image or images they perceive in my scribbles. These are the pictures I got back:

One person gave me back a fly fisherman whose line had broke,

One gave me a fish as well as a sideways pair of pants that Dick van Dyke wore while he danced with the penguins in Mary Poppins,

One gave me a witch with a really long hat,

And one gave me a very large fish.

It was very interesting seeing all of these different interpretations of the same image. There were a few similarities, like two people found fish in it, but they were all essentially completely different. They all chose different parts of the scribble to focus on and each came up with a very different picture. It was very interesting to see everyone's unique creative ideas come out in this assignment I forced them to help me with.
