Layers of 451

Fahrenheit 451

After seeing this poster I thought that I could do the some of the same things with my favorite book. Obviously I'm no artist but it turned out pretty well. The book is Fahrenheit 451, and for those who haven't read it it's all about censorship and where our future is taking us. The Gestalt principles that can be seen in both of these pictures are:

1. Closure. The words that are in both of these pictures aren't complete but our minds are still able to connect them to form whole words.

2. Continuation. The book cover has a few layers and each one leads to the next element on the page. You can go from the shadow, to the fire, to the page.
