Reading between the lines and shapes

When doing this assignment I picked the two theories that I found the most appealing to me. I really like the idea of proximity and closure. With proximity a person gets to use their imagination and put the shapes together. I think that using proximity can allow for multiple interpretations of the same image. I wasn't able to capture this in my image because of my limited knowledge of certain software programs, and also because of the limitation of programs that I have available. When looking at my image its not all the same shape, and this is another part that I enjoy. I also tried to use different colors of blue to add an extra effect, maybe a little continuation.

Next I love the idea of closure. Closure is a style I think allows people to easily recall images or logos. It is similar to proximity, in the case of my image I used different shapes and used breaks in those shapes to create the closure. When people have to really stop and look at an image they take the time to internalize the image and then when they see it again that can easily recall what the shapes are forming.
I took a picture of the cover of Inception. This movie uses a lot of these theories. The cover is great because you see the actors in the front and then behind them the ground coming up to form a 90 degree angle. A lot of movie covers or posters use these theories because they create memorable images that allow movie goers to recall them when it is time go to the movies.
