Photography Composition

Perspective: I think this picture is a good depiction of perspective because it captures only part of the tree and from an angle that is not very common (looking up rather than straight ahead) it makes the viewer feel as if they too were looking up into the tree. 

Balance: The slope of the mountains on both sides of the picture adds balance to the photo. The mountains also add balance to the top portion of the picture because the entire bottom part of the picture is occupied by the water creating a need for some weight at the top of the picture.

Subject/Background: The subject is the bowl of pancakes because it is closest to the camera and there is a differentiation between the subject and the background in that, the subject is edible while the background is all furniture which only serves as the setting for the subject.
