Photography Composition - Marinda Risk

Point of view:

These photographs are somewhat themed around Divine Comedy. This was taken during the part in the show when they throw glow sticks from the stage into the audience. Looking closely, three people are visible throwing the glow sticks in this photo. We were sitting up fairly high in the sloped theater, which created a fun effect looking down on the stage.

Balance: 

This photo was taken at the Divine Comedy show. The skit they did was synchronized Nutella eating, which was well done and quite funny. When they struck this pose at the end of the skit, it was a well-balanced and artistic. They are posed in a way that isn't exactly symmetrical, but they are enough to make an impact visually. I also liked how the lights seemed to perfectly outline their triangular formation.

Subject/Background:

This photo was taken at a Divine Comedy practice. I liked the simplicity of the white background, with just the bench as a reference. They have good expressions and it's obvious that they're acting using scripts, which sets the scene. The background and subjects are simple, yet the photo is clear in what it's portraying.
