My color scheme relationship of choice with this illustration is complementary colors. Complementary colors are those that are directly across from each other on the color wheel; In this case, those colors are yellow and different tones of blue. Tones are created by adding black and white (grey) to a hue, whereas shades are created by adding black to a hue and tints are created by adding white to a hue.
