In my Gestalt inspired design, I implemented the similarity theory by placing this orange triangles in a circular design. The circular form that the triangles take forces the brain to follow the trials in a spiral direction, causing a continuation effect. And the proximity of the triangles encourages the viewer to make sense of the triangles and make them into a sun.
The viewer can see two objects. The viewer may group the triangles into a sun shape and see only two blue dots. Personally, I first see a two scoop ice cream cone, surrounded by the rays of the sun.
Finally, I used different tints of complementary colors to contrast the ice cream scoops to the cone.
