The gestalt principles used are closure and continuation. I also used a compound color scheme. I like the way the lines and words work together to lead the viewer through the picture, which works together with the arrow shape to create continuation. I also think that the messy lines make the closure more interesting to look at, hopefully inviting the viewer to look a while longer.
