Symmetry Shmymmetry



This photo incorporates the rule of thirds. The main subject in the photo is the wakeboarder and I purposefully snapped the shot when she was off-center on the left side because it looks more visually pleasing than if she were to be in the center. 


I found this incredible detail inside of a chapel that exemplifies the aspect of radial symmetry. There is a central axis and all elements of the decoration is radiating from it. 


This photo taken at Stewart Falls portrays bilateral symmetry. The way the rocks wing out to the side of the falling water in the center creates an almost identical image on both side of the photograph.
