My Not-So Water Proof iPhone

Our previous reading stated: “creativity is the quality you bring to whatever you are doing.”

As many of us have learned from sad experience, iPhones are not waterproof, especially if you want them to function properly. The BYU football team played Texas this past weekend and in preparation for the game, I looked at the weather. “30% chance of rain, I’ll take my chances.” My wife and I proceeded to take nothing but the clothes on our back and the purse in her hand.

Upon arrival, about an hour before kickoff, we found ourselves in an iPhone unfriendly situation. The rains came down and the worry level went up. Suddenly, I realized my wife’s purse, and anyone who knows anything about women’s purses understands the abundance and randomness of items that can be found therein. Lo and behold, a Ziploc baggy. Who needs an Otterbox waterproof case when you have a Ziploc? It was not as pretty or convenient as a waterproof case, but it provided "quality" when we needed it most.

Our phones were safe and our checking account relieved.
