Photography/Composition

Subject/ Background
In this photo the subject is clearly the two little boys even though they are not facing the camera. And while the creek and greenery are beautiful components of the photo, they are the background because the eye is first drown to the children. I used the photoshop element "soft light" to bring out the colors in the photo and lighten up the darker spots.

Balance

This photo is balanced because although there are two people at the bottom right corner of the photo, the penguin swimming on the top left helps to balance it all out. Without the penguin there would be no balance between the children and the large amount of water in the photo. I used Adobe Photoshop element "hard light" to play off the dark lighting in the aquarium.

Point of view

This photo is taken from the point of view of the jellyfishes in the tank. By getting down to the level of the fish, and pushing my lens up against the glass, the viewer should feel so close, that they could possibly be inside the tank with the fish. I think this adds more complexity to the photos as we can now see the details on the fish.  I used the lighten effect on photoshop to lighten up the dark photo and act on the colors. Now, the bright fish is more profound.
