Composition Photography

Balance: While we were stuck in Virginia due to the snow storm, my coach decided to take us sightseeing in Washington D.C. on our last day. My teammates decided to sled down Lincoln Memorial and I thought it would be perfect to capture the moment. I feel that this photo is balanced because the dark clothing from my teammate balances the whiteness of the snow.

Photoshop: Exposure, shadow, highlight, and vibrance.

Point of View: I was sitting on the bleachers above my teammate as she was playing her match against Maryland. I thought it would be interesting to take a picture from above to create a different angle of a shot.

Subject/Background: I wanted to focus on the rule of thirds for this photo as my teammate, the subject, was playing her match.

Photoshop: Saturation, brightness, and contrast
